System Administrator to our client Uppsala Monitoring Centre
We are looking for a driven and structured System Administrator for our client Uppsala Monitoring Centre in Uppsala. The assignment is expected to start as soon as possible and will last for at least 6 months, with good opportunities of it turning into a long term assignment. We welcome both experienced System Administrators and newly graduated students to apply for this role.

In the role of System Administrator you will belong to the Information and Communications Technology Section (ICT) at Uppsala Monitoring Centre.
The System Administrator role aims at:
o providing operative service delivery of infrastructure services
o providing IT support via the helpdesk timely and in a user oriented manner
Dina arbetsuppgifter i huvudsak
As a System Administrator you will be:
o Responsible for the operative service delivery of UMC’s IT services and as such accountable for
o Proactively safeguarding the UMC’s IT services in production, ensuring that they are available and up-to-date
o Ensuring that the server infrastructure is continuously evaluated and adapted in regards to capacity versus resource consumption and consolidating installations where beneficial
o Approving and coordinating all planned changes to IT services in production
o Responsible for keeping up-to-date with the technological trends in the IT area, to identify areas of improvement and to suggest changes to the service delivery landscape within UMC
o When monitoring the helpdesk, responsible for acting on new tickets as defined in the ticket handling process and accountable for keeping applicable service levels
o Accountable for adhering to defined work processed and procedures and continuously improving them.

o Education in Computer Science/Information Technology or equal.
o Fluent written and spoken Swedish and English

o Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
o Experience and skills in Microsoft technology and applications
o Keeps abreast of industry trends to improve service to our clients
o Experience of IT Support, service supervision, and incident management
o Experience of working using Agile Methods, e.g. Scrum, Kanban or XP
o Experience of working with Microsoft Azure, Hyper V, Microsoft 365 and Active Directory
o Experience of troubleshooting client computers, storage, automation and installation
