Digital Design Engineer to strengthen OssDsign.

Work tasks

As a Digital Design Engineer within Technical Operations you will be working with the first important step in the manufacturing of OssDsign’s patient specific implants, which are partly 3D printed.

In your daily work you will, by using a CAD software, design patient specific implants for cranial and facial bone defects based on CT-scans from patients. All implants are designed according to the ordering surgeons request which requires a continues dialogue and close collaboration with the surgeon during the design phase. Since every implant is unique a close collaboration with other colleagues from several functions are needed to be able to serve the customers in best possible way.

Due to the uniqueness of the implants a creative design approach and problem solving is required resulting in a continuously development of skills and competence.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • MSc in Biomedical Engineering, Industrial Design, Graphic design or similar education or relevant work experience
  • Experience from CAD software and CAD file management preferably within in the field of custom-made implants are also a strong meritt
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills in English both written and verbal since the position will involve communication with customers globally

  • Ability to continuously identify and implement improvements in daily work
  • Demonstrated analytical and planning skills as well as creative problem solving
  • Experience in working within a quality management system is merit
  • Experience or interest in 3D printing is a merit
