Skydda Group, part of Bergman & Beving’s division Workplace Safety, is now recruiting a proactive and collaborative Key Account Manager (Do It Yourself) Europe. The position could be based in Denmark or in southern Sweden. Would you like to work both with a strategic and operational focus? About the position

You are offered a challenging and developing position in an international environment. You will work with professional and dedicated teams in the Nordics, Germany and in other parts of Europe. You will have many contacts, both externally to customers and partners and internally within the Bergman & Beving group.

The Key Account Manager DIY Europe is a hands-on executive who serves as the individual accountable for managing and executing the strategic and commercial aspects of all business being made to targeted DIY retail customers in Europe. Main target is to achieve consistent and profitable sales growth, primarily of own brands, through a network of international DIY customers.

Your team consists of a Team Leader Visual Merchandising and Merchandisers, both internal and external. You are working in close collaboration with our Customer support, Marketing, Supply chain and Finance department.

This position involves overall and business responsibility for DIY Europe. You will:

• Develop and manage the execution of the sales and market development strategy to achieve long-term sustainable growth.

• Develop and manages execution of the annual sales plan and expense budget to meet revenue and profit objectives.

• Manage and direct activities of the DIY Europe team such as new builds, rebuilds, assortment, campaigns, launches, discontinuation, trade fairs, marketing material and stock.

• Continually analyze international market pricing and competitive landscape to develop an effective pricing policy.

• Evaluate new business opportunities (i. e. regional expansion, product portfolio additions)

• Keep up to date with the Group’s offerings and product development in close collaboration with the Brands.

• Establish strong relationship with key customers, partnering with them to develop and implement effective business expansion plans for their regions.

• Provide the sub-ordinates with the right tools, education and information to perform their work in a structured and efficient way.

• Be responsible for creating a motivating, encouraging and solution-oriented environment for all employees.

The position requires traveling approximately 100 days per year.

You will report to the Head of International Sales in Skydda Group.

Your profile

You probably have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. You also have at least 5 years of relevant experience from retail, DIY, key account management and/or international sales. You have a proven track record of achieving profitable growth.

You are fluent in German and English, written and spoken, preferably also in Danish or Swedish.

To be successful in the position you are good at building and maintaining contacts and credibility with customers as well as with partners and co-workers. You have excellent stakeholder, project management and negotiation skills.

You are also proactive, analytical, professional and well-structured with integrity and a good judgement. Moreover, you have a holistic view and understand both Skydda Group’s overall interests as well as customer needs. You can build rewarding collaborations externally and internally. Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, are also required.
